27 Weeks!

Time is flying by!  I can't believe that in 2 1/2 months we will have a baby in this house!  I've made really good headway on the nursery and getting all of the baby stuff cleaned and put away.  We are getting more and more ready!

California and Lego Land

We spent all of last week out in California with S's dad and his family and had a great time!  Now that we are back in Texas with 100 degree weather everyday I'm really missing that California weather!!  We did several fun things, went to the aquarium, spent a day at the beach, and of course, Lego Land!  Jude did really great being out there.  Poor guy did get sick on every plane ride we took, motion sickness sucks. I think next time we will have to try to force feed him some medicine for it.  Picture highlights from the trip
Funny faces at the airport on the way out.  S was asleep in the chair next to us!  She has been pretty tired these days.  Only a little sick, but for sure tired.

Relaxing outside with humming birds flying to all of the feeders.
Jelly fish are my favorite!  So is S ;)
Touch pools.  Totally made me think of Finding Dory.
Sea Otter totally waved back to Jude.  It was really cute.
Lego Land with Grandpa!  Jude had so much fun!  Everyone he tells about it starts off with, "Oh man, you are just going to love it!"
Jude's favorite ride, he loved squirting people!
Jude and S's favorite part was the Star Wars section.
Racing Lego boats they built.  There was a lot of different parts like this where you built stuff like boats or cars and got to race them. Overall I'd say kids much younger than 3 or older than 8-10 aren't going to have a great time unless they are super into Legos.  There was a lot of stuff to do other than rides, I think we only ended up going to 5 or 6 rides total, mostly because Jude either was scared of it or not interested.  Even with not standing in any long lines, we were there 10-3, so if you were into rides and willing to wait in some lines you really could spend all day.  And you just can't beat the weather so spending all day isn't a big deal.  So all in all it was fun, but I'm campaigning for Univeral next year as I'm dying to go to Harry Potter.
Next day was a beach day.  I spent most of the day sitting in the shade reading, which was awesome.
Jude went paddle boarding for the first time.  He thought it was pretty cool but didn't stay out long, maybe 10 minutes total.
Lots of time was spent digging in the sand.  And that's my foot relaxing :)

It was a good trip but between six months pregnant wife and a motion sick four year old I'm glad we won't be flying anywhere else any time soon!

24 Weeks!

Looking really pregnant at 24 weeks!

S did her three hour glucose test on Tuesday and passed!  They had her do it early per her endocrinologist's recommendation due to her previously having been prediabetic.  But what they didn't tell her was that she'd still have to do it again at 28 weeks, which is a bummer.  At least the 28 weeks test will only be an hour test instead of three.

In other news we leave for California tomorrow for a week visit with S's family.  Jude is so excited that we had to make a countdown chart for him.  It's going to be great, but that means I have a ton to get done today!
