He is also teething, again. I know, how many teeth can an 8 month old possibly have? Well, apparently he is working on having 8 teeth. 6 already in, one that has broken the surface and one that feels like it can’t be far behind. And speaking of his teeth, the other day I went to get him out of his crib after a nap and his face had all of these little white flecks all over it. For a minute I couldn’t figure out where they were coming from and then I saw what he had done. Little dude at some point during his nap stood up and chewed the edges of one of the sides of his crib. His crib is white, so the flecks were paint from the crib. He scrapped some of it down to wood and left several gouge marks. Jeez! So today I spent the morning with a friend who can sew making covers for the rails on his crib to keep the little busy beaver from destroying it! The covers turned out really cute and I should be able to finish them up tomorrow. I’ll take pictures and show them off once I finish them.
And a bonus picture for you. We have always had this baby gate up between our kitchen and living room to keep the dogs from causing mischief while we are gone and it is a very convenient way of keeping Jude out of the kitchen were there is just way too much stuff he could get into. And it works great but he loves the gate. At least 50 times a day he crawls over to it, pulls himself up, and shakes it wildly. It’s pretty cute. Here is the picture of our little jail baby.

That picture is too cute. My little one is about a month behind Jude so it's only a matter of time before she's into everything too! It sounds like you're making the crib covers not a moment too soon! 8 teeth, wow!
ReplyDeleteOh, no. I am SO not ready for crawling. Or teeth. Or any of that. It's reassuring that he's so cute to make up for it!
ReplyDeleteOur crib and the crib at grandma and grandpa's both look like we let some sort of rodent have at them. Makes us glad we splurged on the "Made In Canada" one.
ReplyDeleteWe've got a little jail baby beaver boy too! I'd never thought about sewing covers for the crib rail.I'm going to do that too. Great idea! Can't wait to see how they turn out.
